Advanced Acting for Screen
Tuesdays, April 23rd - July 2nd | 6pm - 9pm |
The is a practical, intensive course with tasks such as multiple self-tapes, specific acting for screen exercises, on-set tips and tricks to get into the moment, and a filmed duologue. Come prepared to work hard and leave feeling ready to walk on any set.
The facilitator has built a checklist of the essentials when it comes to Screen Acting that they will teach the participants so they can leave feeling rejuvenated and confident when it comes to Screen Acting. Their process spans text analysis and also incorporates how to feel comfortable in front of the camera and, importantly, how to be an impulsive actor who is confident in their decisions.
Across the course, you’ll look at approaches to prepping when given a script, camera technique, audition technique, being on a set, differences between stage and screen, different types of auditions and much more. It will be a really open and friendly course. You'll be encouraged to ask questions and try new things. Be bold, take risks and try to get the most out of the work.
