Legacy Giving
Invest in the next generation; leave a gift in your Will
Invest in the next generation; leave a gift in your Will
One way you can help do this is to remember the National Youth Theatre in your Will. As a registered charity, no inheritance tax is payable on the amount of your gift. So in addition to helping NYT make the arts accessible to every young person in the UK, your legacy gift could also reduce the inheritance tax liability on your estate.
If you're already planning to leave us a gift, please let us know here.
Your legacy will enable NYT to foreground underrepresented voices, break down financial barriers and develop the skills of the next generation of Britain’s creative leaders and game-changers.
National Youth Theatre gives young people the opportunity to learn as much about themselves and how to relate to others, as they do about acting and technical theatre. Whilst some of our members go on to become well known faces of stage and screen, many others go on to be great lawyers, journalists, doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, CEOs and much more. You can help safeguard their future, and ours.
Leaving just 1% of your estate can make a difference. Anyone leaving a minimum 10% of their taxable estate to charity can qualify for a reduced rate, down from the usual 40% of taxable wealth to 36%*.
Your legal advisor will be able to provide more details, and you can refer to hmrc.gov.uk/inheritancetax
You can remember us with a fixed amount or a share of the residue of your estate. We would be happy to discuss how your gift should be recognised.
Email Cliodhna.McCorley@nyt.org.uk to express your interest and to discuss further.
