The Host

Rehearsals are well underway for The Host, which is back after a sell-out debut run in 2017, playing for three nights only at St James’s Church, Piccadilly 01-03 Feb.

It’s a triple bill of The Host perks this week, as we meet the cast in a Facebook Live stream this Friday afternoon at 2.15pm.


Jingle Competition

Are you a budding composer or musician? Fancy having your work showcased to a national audience including NYT members, associates and friends? Submit to our NYT Podcast Jingle Competition!

We’re launching a brand new NYT Podcast, and we’re looking for a talented member to create a jingle for the podcast, which will feature in each episode!

We've extended the deadline until Friday 2nd of February, so get your submissions in.


Auditions

We’ve been auditioning in a number of schools and venues across the last couple of weeks, and there’s still time to book your audition! Whether you’re from Brighton or Bridlington Spa, Swansea or Elgin – we have a local audition venue for you.

#NoGreyArea Town Hall Meeting

On Sunday 21st January we held a Town Hall meeting with our members in response to the recent #NoGreyArea movement. Members, our Associate Director Anna Niland and representatives from the NSPCC met to continue the conversation surrounding safeguarding.
Diverse City Associate Training Day!


Diverse City Training Day

On Monday we were joined at our Holloway Road site by Diverse City, who ran a fantastic training day for our staff and associates about inclusivity. The session was kicks off our eight month long pilot project with Diverse City and Highshore School, focusing on inclusivity at National Youth Theatre.


Judy Browne

On Sunday 4th February 2018 we will be hosting a celebration of the life, loves and laughs of the much loved and much missed Judy Alice Browne, a long time friend and associate of NYT.

We will sing, we will dance, we will be merry and remember the good times. We will also be launching a special NYT bursary in Judy’s name. If you are interested in attending please email info@nyt.org.uk for more information.
