We're recruiting two new Youth Trustees

Posted 22 Jul 2023 by Joe Duggan

We’re looking for two new Youth Trustees

The National Youth Theatre is a world leading arts organisation, currently undergoing a phase of exciting expansion, with record audience figures, expanding activity around the UK and burgeoning international credentials. We believe that every young people should be able to access our opportunities regardless of their background or location within the UK and celebrate the diversity of Britain’s youth in all of its forms. To continue to make sure that all the decisions our charity makes are in the best interests of the young people we work with, we’re looking for two ‘Youth Reps’ to attend our Trustee meetings over the next twelve months.

Youth Reps ensure that young people have a voice at the highest level of decision making at NYT and help inform the future strategic direction of the organisation. If you’re interested in having your say on how the charity operates and feel like you could make a positive contribution to our Trustee meetings and represent the wider membership to our Trustees then this could be the role for you. This is a voluntary unpaid role but reasonable expenses will be covered to remove any barriers that may prevent a young person from taking up the position.

We’re particularly interested in applications from young people who don’t live in London and as an equal opportunities employer we actively encourage applications from Black, Minority Ethnic and Disabled people.
