Announcing Creative Leaders
Want to become one of the voices shaking up the theatre industry? Applications are open to become a NYT Creative Leader
Part of our Creative Leadership Programme, Creative Leaders is a new programme offering 30 NYT Company Members, aged 18-25, the chance to receive FREE specialist training across three weekends in facilitation, arts leadership, and inclusive practice.
Led primarily by Kane Husbands, NYT Associate Artist, and AD of The PappyShow (NYT’s Associate Company) – this FREE programme will also offer participants the opportunity to observe professional practice, as well as learn more about building a successful career in the theatre industry.
This programme is specifically targeted at young people from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the arts.
Key Information
Creative Leaders - Information Pack
14 & 15 March
Weekend one will focus on developing your facilitation skills and finding your creative practice.
25 & 26 April
Weekend two will focus on inclusive practice, and will involve sessions on inclusivity and mental health awareness.
2 & 3 May
Weekend three will focus on growing yourself as an artist.
You must be able to attend every weekend
How to apply
We’re after individuals looking to make their mark on theatre, and shake up the industry. We are particularly interested in applications from Black, Minority Ethnic and Disabled people or from other groups currently underrepresented in the arts and theatre sector. Sound like you?
