Posted 15 Jul 2023 by Joe Duggan

Stepping Up Manager and Creative Facilitator

We’re looking for a creative Project Manager to join our team from June 2021- July 2022 on a fixed-term part time (4 day p/w) basis to manage and develop our Stepping Up Course.

This new initiative represents an ambitious expansion of our established targeted inclusion work which currently includes our accredited Level 3 Playing Up Course (which will be Stepping Up’s sister course), outreach projects, and Inclusive Practice work with d/Deaf, Disabled and Neurodiverse young people. This work is designed to put inclusion at the heart of our creative community and artistic work and actively remove barriers that might prevent young people participating in the arts.

We’re looking for a confident and experienced creative project manager with a track-record of drama facilitation, relationship management and administration to manage and tutor on our Level 2 accredited course in partnership with The JGA Group. The role will support two cohorts of young people, who are aged 16-25 and currently unemployed, to undertake an OCN London Certificate in Progression in either Theatre Arts or Inclusive Facilitation. You will lead successful delivery of the first year of this pioneering programme and help create the right groundwork towards the future sustainability of the programme.

Line managed by our Associate Director, Anna Niland, this role will include working at the newly redeveloped National Youth Theatre which is based at 443-445 Holloway Road, London, N7 6LW

We are an equal opportunities and disability confident employer and we actively encourage disabled people and people from backgrounds currently underrepresented in our team to apply. If you require any of this information in another format or have any access requirements to complete your application get in touch on jobs@nyt.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help.
