It’s been a busy week at NYT with our 2018 REP Season opening at Soho Theatre!

You’ve got until 9 November to catch the show, with only 7 performances remaining. Get your tickets.

Victoria’s Knickers

Next up we’ve got Victoria’s Knicker, the brand new play by NYT Alumni Josh Azouz and Ned Bennett with original songs from Chris Cookson. Victoria’s Knickers has it’s first performance this Saturday and runs until 10 November.

Limited £11 tickets still available.

Half-term masterclasses

This week we’ve had six-day masterclasses running in London and Manchester, in Acting for Screen, Audition Technique and Performing Shakespeare. Head to our Instagram story highlights to have a peek into our Manchester Acting for Screen masterclass, through the eyes of some of our participants

Missed out on this term? Our six-day masterclasses return this February half-term in London and Norwich, and booking is now open.

Vote for NYT

National Youth Theatre has been shortlisted for Community Project of the Year for the Creating Places Awards 2018 for running the Playing Up schools tour, with funding from the L&Q Foundation.

The tour used interactive theatre to get young Londoners talking about homelessness. It also gave young actors from marginalised communities life-changing access to an HND Level 3 with experience to count towards it and specialist academic support.

The 2018 Playing Up Schools Tour saw 'Snakes and Ladders' by Rebecca Manley head to schools across Newham, Lewisham and Waltham Forest.

Watch a short film about the project – and then vote for it if you would like it to win Community Project of the Year.

Member Opportunities

There’s lots to get involved with currently if you’re an NYT Member. Applications to be an NYT Ambassador for 2019 are currently open. Sign up for a free training half-day with us, and get the opportunity to ambassador on our NYT Auditions and Backstage Interview days, and represent the company at events.

Casting Auditions for our 2019 season and 2019 REP Company are also just around the corner, and will be opening for booking next week. If you’re a member who would like to take part, make sure your Company Membership is active.
