Consensual – Post Show Open Conversation

This Saturday afternoon National Youth Theatre will be hosting a open conversation session with Gina Abolins, following the matinee performance of Evan Placey’s Consensual. The session will address and explore the themes of the play, with an emphasis on the issue of consent, and follows National Youth Theatre’s #NoGreyArea Town Hall Meeting earlier this year.

Gina Abolins is the founder of Spark, an arts education organisation that brings programmes exploring gender equality to schools, higher education and businesses. Gina is the former Education and Artist Development Officer at Out of Joint and has been in a leading voice in the theatre industry’s response to the #MeToo movement, for which she was awarded a Tonic Theatre Award earlier in the year.

The event is free to attend, and all are welcome. You do not have to have attended the matinee performance to come along, but if you would like to attend the matinee you need to buy a ticket separately.
