How do I book a Backstage Interview?

Booking for 2022 now open.

In 2022 all interviews for Backstage Membership will take place digitally. The Interview will be conducted online, through Zoom. If you want to gain Backstage Membership in 2022, you will need to attend an online interview by 4th April 2022.

Backstage Interviews are for ages 16-25 and will be taking place on the following dates:

You can sign up to a Backstage Interview via the Hub if you are 15 as long as you turn 16 by the start date for the Backstage Course, 8th August 2022.

Your Backstage Interview will be 20 minutes.

After your Backstage Interview, your result will be emailed to you on results day, 11th May 2022.

What happens at a Backstage Interview?

On the day and time of your interview you will log into NYT’s online studio. In this space you will meet (digitally) with your NYT interviewer and another representative from NYT. You will spend about 20 minutes with your interviewer, in a one-to-one session. You will need to prepare at least one task for the interview.
