Ada
Saturday, December 02 - Saturday, December 09, 2023 The Workshop TheatreAda
By Rebecca Manley
Directed by Andrew Whyment
★★★★ Broadway World 'Talent aplenty'
Meet Ada Lovelace - the world's first computer programmer - in a funny and fast-paced new play for young audiences by Rebecca Manley (Liminal, Victory Street). Ada follows a contemporary teenager’s adventure with the legendary Victorian mathematician, as they both face their fears about family, change and identity. Leaping through space and time and meeting some larger-than-life characters along the way, from a useless prime minister to Queen Victoria herself, Ada is an ideal show for schools and family audiences this December.
Directed with wit and invention by NYT alumnus Andrew Whyment, Ada has been developed for primary and young secondary school audiences with dramaturgy from Sarah Frankcom.
National Youth Theatre would like to thank our principal supporter Arts Council England and the Royal Victoria Hall Foundation for their generous support of Ada.
