Let's Feast for the Future!

This November, hundreds of people will be sharing meals, on one special weekend, to raise money for the National Youth Theatre. Sign up to host a supper now! You can check out recipes, tips and more on our Supper Club Tumblr here.

Help us to raise vital funds by hosting a fun supper club with friends! Simply ask them to donate the equivalent of what they would spend at a favourite restaurant to NYT. All of the money raised will go towards the NYT bursary fund. It all starts with you.

Last chance to book: October Masterclass

If you’re looking for an intensive short-course to boost your skillset and receive professional feedback, there’s a space on one of our Masterclass Courses with your name on it.

Half-Term Masterclasses now available:
Acting for Screen in London, Norwich & Manchester
Performing Shakespeare in London
Audition Technique in Brighton, Bristol & London

We still have a few spaces available on our courses taking place from 24th October so grab them while you can if you would like to join us.

Hollie

We were on the road this week meeting students at Southport College and King's Lynn Academy with our educational outreach production of Hollie Can, supported by Esther McVey, which aims to inspire young people to achieve their ambitions.

It was a joy to meet such talented and engaged students at both schools. Our cast of NYT performers were also fantastic - thank to everyone who supported the production!

Classic Car Boot Sale

If you were out and about in London last week you may have spotted some archaic NYT Members running about the streets! Huge well done to the cast of our Classic Car Boot sale immersive performance, who looked extremely dapper in their costumes.

Teachers Event: Directing Young Performers

Our event for teachers last night was a great success and an insightful look into directing young performers. This event gave a group of teachers the opportunity to discover some of the tools and techniques we use when working with young actors. Led by NYT Associate Director Anna Niland, teachers directed some of the cast of Pigeon English and shared best practice in the rehearsal room for large scale productions.

We welcome both English and Drama teachers and youth group leaders to join us at our next event - or pass on the invitation to a colleague. More info here. Should you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us on 020 3696 7064

#60ReasonsToAudition for the National Youth Theatre

In the run up to auditions and interviews in spring 2017, we're asking NYT members, alumni and friends of the organisation to encourage young people age 14-25 to bite the bullet and audition to join the National Youth Theatre in 2017! But why should they? Share your 'NYT Story' and be a part of our social media campaign starting 2nd November 2016 and running for 60 days! Reminisce about a summer you spent with us or a performance you would love to do all over again!

Everyday we'll be sharing a reason to audition and yours could feature! Simply tell us your NYT story and number one reason to audition in less than 140 character or a 60 second video using this link!

Acting Auditions and Backstage Interviews for our 2017 Membership Courses are filling fast! Head here to book! You can book an audition and view dates online now by heading here and selecting the most convenient location and date for you.

If you are successful at your audition you will be invited to take part in a membership course, and thereafter you’ll be an official member of NYT until you are 26. As a member you will be encouraged to audition for many productions, courses and opportunities throughout the year.

Company Membership Opportunities

Company Members! Thanks for bearing with us while we get to grips with our new website. It's all swanky and new - most glitches are now fully resolved. All other errors will be fixed by early next week at the very latest.

We will be releasing casting auditions for 2017 productions and the REP Company extremely soon to keep an eye on your inbox. In the meantime, read up on all of your membership opportunities here and get applying for everything on the Members' Board.

Backstage and Technical NYT Alumni

We want to hear your #NYTStories for an article for our 60th Anniversary Celebrations! Get in touch to share your thoughts on your backstage NYT experience.

If you have a few minutes, and would like to be part of this, please take a moment to fill out our short survey.
