The Judy Browne Bursary
Our dear, loyal, talented friend, Judy Browne, passed away in August 2017 following a brave battle with cancer. Judy was a leading light in National Youth Theatre for many years as a member during the 1980s.
She became an NYT Associate Artist and many young people were lucky enough to have been on her summer courses or voice-coached by her over the past few years.
“Judy’s capacity for love and laughter will always ring and sing the loudest. Forever in our hearts and memories, she will always be missed by us all at NYT.”
Paul Roseby CEO and Artistic Director
NYT is proud to honour Judy by setting up The Judy Browne Bursary in her memory.
Find out more and donate now here.
Judy was instrumental in sharpening the vocal skills of many young NYT members. The Bursary in her name will enable many more young people to benefit from dedicated activity over the next 4 years to support the development of their vocal skills.
NYT is setting up this Bursary with an initial commitment of £10,000.
We are encouraging Judy’s many friends and students, from within NYT and beyond, to extend its reach.
Our aim is to double the value of The Judy Browne Bursary.
Thank you for helping us to remember Judy. If you would like to set up a regular donation in Judy’s memory by standing order, please contact Clíodhna McCorley at cliodhna.mccorley@nyt.org.uk
Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. Your donation and support is greatly appreciated.
