Auditions and Backstage Interviews

We’ve been travelling all across the UK this week as part of our annual auditions and backstage roadshow! This weekend alone we’re heading to Leicester, Truro, London, Glasgow, Plymouth, Norwich, Bristol, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds and Canterbury!

Time's running out to book your audition or backstage interview. We have limited availability across the UK , and have just added some extra dates at the Lyric Hammersmith.

This week we also held an NYT Discovery Day at De La Warr Pavillion in Bexhill-on-sea, open to anyone and everyone who wanted to find out a little bit more about what we do at NYT.

Creative Leadership

Creative Leadership roles offer a fantastic opportunity for NYT Members interested in theatre training, drama facilitation and teaching to develop their skills in a hands-on exciting environment.

Masterclasses

Half term means masterclasses at NYT! This week we’ve been hosting masterclasses in Acting for Screen, Audition Technique and Performing Shakespeare.

Playing Up – L&Q Foundation

Our NYT Playing Up Company are currently enjoying a well deserved half term break, but when they’re back at our Holloway Road rehearsal space next week they’ll be starting preparations for a schools tour, developed in collaboration with the L&Q Foundation.

Our Playing Up Company are working with playwright Rebecca Manley on a new play, about housing issues and homelessness which will be performed to secondary school children in Lewisham, Newham and Waltham Forest!

Jade Anouka has just been appearing on our screens in ITV’s Trauma and is now gearing up for Clean Break alongside Sheridan Smith.

NYT REP Company 2016 Alumnus Nathaniel Wade has just been cast in Checkpoint Chana at the Finborough Theatre.

Matt Smith is to star alondgside Keira Knightly in Official Secrets, about a GCHQ Whistleblower.

Ellie Kendrick makes her Royal Court writing debut with Hole, directed by Helen Goalen and Abbi Greenland of RASHDASH Theatre.
