Our Playing Up Company’s end of year production Tortoise by Mark Weinman kicks off next week at the Bunker Theatre!
Head down to The Bunker Theatre to catch this new play exploring escapism, grief and the pressures to succeed, directed by Matt Harrison.
The Reluctant Fundamentalist
This week our production of Mohsin Hamid’s The Reluctant Fundamentalist, adapted for the stage by Stephanie Street and directed by Prasanna Puwanarajah headed to the Bradford Literature Festival for a three day run.
Our company now has a break before rehearsals for our Edinburgh Fringe run at Summerhall get going.

Highshore School Sharing
For the past term NYT Associates and members have been leading workshops in Highshore SEN School in Southwark in preparation for our collaboration with Diverse City and Extraordinary Bodies this summer, which will culminate in a performance on the National Theatre’s River Stage.
On Thursday the students staged a performance, sharing a piece they’d been working on with our Associates around the theme of superheroes with the rest of the school and NYT staff.
Sheffield VR project
This weekend we’re in Sheffield casting for a VR theatre project we’re collaborating with NYT Associates Sean Hollands and Ben Carlin on later this month in the city.
