Interested in taking part? Submissions are currently open. Whether you’ve written your own play and want a chance to see part it performed, got a spoken word piece or song you’d like to share, or want to perform a monologue or duologue (either original or pre-published) - get involved. Submissions do not need to be specifically about race and/or culture. All will are welcome and encouraged to attend the performance as audience members - submissions are open to young people of colour within the NYT membership.

The first Rush took place in October 2019 to mark Black History Month at National Youth Theatre's north London home and was a cabaret style scratch night curated by NYT Member Shakira Newton and directed by Lakesha Arie-Angelo, with pieces performed, written or created by black NYT Members.
