Masterclass: Writing and Directing

Got a great idea for a show or want to learn more about creative roles in theatre beyond acting?

This Summer, Masterclass in Writing and Directing will be led by Theatre-Maker Hamish MacDougall (War of the Worlds, Director Jan 2019 - 'The show is deft and ingenious' ★★★★ The Guardian)
This 6 day course offers participants the opportunity to gain experience in the theatre-making process over six days with a professional theatre-maker. Whether you already have an idea you are interested in developing or looking to find out more about the collaboration between actors, directors and writers, this course offers the perfect opportunity to get your idea on it’s feet.
Whether you are an aspiring writer or director, you will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of both with the chance to specialise in either one during the week, resulting in a sharing of ideas performed by NYT members at the end of the course.
