An Intro to Theatre Criticism with Ava Wong Davies

Always wanted to figure out how best to put your thoughts about theatre into words? This workshop with award-winning critic Ava Wong Davies, will give you the tools to get started in theatre criticism. Explore the basics of writing theatre reviews, and prepare to throw everything you’ve just learnt straight back out of the window in order to find your own critical voice.
Ava is a freelance critic and playwright based in London, who has written extensively for The Stage Exeunt Magazine and and in 2018 won The Sunday Times Harold Hobson Award.
This workshop will be followed by a performance of National Youth Theatre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Criterion Theatre, London, 7pm.
Tickets for the show cost £5 for workshop participants. When you sign up to the free workshop a £5 will be reserved under your name at the box office and payment should be made on the door. Free bursary tickets are available.
