Nationwide Acting Auditions and Backstage Interviews
In 2019 we’re auditions at a record 70+ venues around the UK, more than any other UK drama school or national youth arts organisation. Here are just some of our venues.

The NYT Audition Access Fund supported by Hugh Bonneville
Thanks to the support of NYT Patron and Alumnus Hugh Bonneville in 2019 we’ll be offering free auditions and preparation workshops and bursaries for those who are successful at 10 schools or youth theatres that have experienced cuts to drama provision, including:

• Pembrokeshire College - Haverfordwest
• The Ebbsfleet Academy - Ebbsfleet, Kent
• Cockburn John Charles Academy - Leeds
• The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College - Hartlepool

The Hole by Rachel De-Lahay at the Old Rep in Birmingham
In February 2019 audiences in Birmingham will get an exclusive first look at a new world-exclusive by award-winning Midlands playwright and NYT alumnus Rachel De-Lahay. The Hole was commissioned by the NYT as part of our commitment to producing work by voices from around the UK.

In Autumn 2018 we offered open access sessions for young people based in West Norfolk funded jointly by the DMCMS and the Big Lottery Fund. In Spring 2019 we’ll be back with pop-up auditions in King’s Lynn.
