Our Summer Term of Drama Club will focus on script-work, devising and performing as an ensemble. Led by two NYT Associate Artists, participants will come together to create a final performance in the NYT Workshop Theatre that showcases all the skills they have built throughout the course.

Participants will gain an understanding of collaborative theatre-making, the expectations of a professional rehearsal process, approaching script-work and devising their own work.

They will cover techniques such as:

  • Devising

  • Scene study/Script analysis

  • Voice work for performance

  • Characterisation

  • Improvisation

This course is perfect for young people looking to build their confidence, gain performance skills and join a creative, supportive community.
