Our Summer Term of Drama Club will focus on script-work, devising and performing as an ensemble. Led by two NYT Associates, participants will come together to create a final performance that showcases all the skills they have built throughout the course which will take place the last week of term.
Participants will gain an understanding of collaborative theatre-making, the expectations of a professional rehearsal process, approaching script-work and devising their own work. They will cover techniques such as:
- Devising
- Scene study/Script analysis
- Voice work for performance
- Characterisation
- This course is perfect for young people looking to build their confidence, gain performance skills and join a creative, supportive community.
Time: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Dates: April:19th, 26th
May: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
(Half-term – No session on Sunday 31st June)
June: 7th, 14th, 21th, 28th
Sunday 28th June will be the final sharing date where friends and families will be invited to attend.
