If you are applying for a bursary, submit your application using the link in your results email. Read more information about bursaries, including our bursary FAQs, here. Deadline: 21st March.

I haven’t received my result. What should I do?
Results will be sent on a rolling basis from 7th-11th April (under 18s) and 28th April-2nd May (over 18s) to the email address listed on your NYT profile. Please be sure to check your junk/spam folder as sometimes our emails land there by mistake.
If you have not received your result by the end of your assigned week, please complete this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
I didn’t get in – can I get some feedback?
Due to the amount of requests we receive, we are unfortunately unable to provide individual feedback on auditions.
This is not the result I was hoping for. Can you reconsider my outcome?
We are sorry you did not receive the outcome you were hoping for. Our panel was impressed by the standard of auditions this year, and we always receive more submissions than we can allocate places for. Due to the amount of requests we receive, we are unfortunately unable to provide feedback or reconsider audition outcomes.
In the meantime, there are lots of ways to get involved with NYT. Booking is currently open for our masterclasses and Drama Clubs, which are open to everyone and do not require an audition to attend.
Additionally, as a HUB member we have loads of ways you can continue to develop your skills and get involved with NYT activity. More information can be found by logging in to your HUB account.
Thank you for taking the time to audition with us this year and we hope to see you in the future.
Reserve Lists
Can I be put on the reserve list?
Unfortunately places on our reserve list have already been allocated.
I’ve been told I’m on the reserve list. What does this mean?
Places will be offered to those on our reserve lists if anyone drops out of a course. We will be in touch if a space becomes available for you.
Places need to be accepted by Thursday 30th May; it is only after this date that people may be contacted off the reserve list. Places can be offered at any point up to the start of the course.
Course Details
Where can I find details of my course?
All course details can be found in your results email. You will receive an information pack with more details closer to the start date of the course.
What should I wear on the course?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that you are able to move freely in, with trainers or sports shoes for working outside and moving between studio spaces. You may be working bare feet in the studios.
Please do not wear jewellery or watches as you may be asked to remove these.
What should I bring to the course?
We recommend that you bring the following with you each day:
- Packed lunch and snacks or money to buy food locally
- Reusable water bottle
- Hoodie or jumper to keep warm between sessions
- Deodorant and/or additional clean clothes
- Notebook and pen
You will also receive a letter from your course director in advance of the course who may ask you to prepare some other items to bring with you.
Will there be a showcase at the end of the course that parents/guardians can attend?
Yes! Details will be provided via email for ticket booking at the end of the first week.
Changing Course & Deferrals
Can I change course?
All places on our courses have been allocated, so we cannot change the course you have been offered. If you would like to be added to the reserve list for a different course, please complete this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
I can’t make some of the dates of my course.
To become a NYT member, you must attend the full length of your course.
We are unable to authorise any absences except in cases of extreme circumstances, and unauthorised absences may mean we are unable to award your membership at the end of the course and you may not be eligible for future casting opportunities.
If you feel your situation is an extreme circumstance, please complete this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Can I defer my place to next year?
We are unable to defer places on our courses except in cases of extreme circumstances. Should you be unable to attend this year, you will need to re-audition for a course in the future.
If you feel your situation is an extreme circumstance, please complete this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Acceptance Forms
If I accept my place, do I have to pay for it immediately?
No - the deadline to accept your place is 30th May, but you do not need to make your payment until 3rd July.
I have requested a course change. Should I accept my place?
If you are planning to accept your original course if you are unable to change course, please accept your place.
If you are unable to take part unless you are moved course, please wait to hear back from us. Please note that we are currently handling a very high volume of emails, and as such it may take slightly longer than usual to get back to you. Thank you for your patience at this time.
I'm waiting for my bursary outcome. Should I accept my place?
If you are hoping to attend the course with the support of a bursary, please accept your place.
If you do not receive the bursary outcome you are hoping for, you will be able to withdraw your place if necessary and will not be required to make your payment for the course.

Is there accommodation?
Accommodation is available on a first-come first-served basis for the following courses:

- Epic Stages – Rose Bruford
- Backstage – Rose Bruford
Accommodation goes on sale on Wednesday 12th June via the NYT website. All residential courses will be emailed a reminder and the link.
Please note: all other courses are non-residential. If you need accommodation for a non-residential course, you will need to arrange this yourself.
What is included in the accommodation?
For residential courses, there is the option to book nearby accommodation.
You will be staying in single student bedrooms (all with private en-suite toilet/shower facilities) in shared, self-catering flats, each with its own kitchenette.
Food is not provided, and participants are responsible for organising their own meals. There are local supermarkets nearby where food can be purchased. We advise bringing any specialist food with you.
Payments
Can I apply for a bursary?
If you have been offered a place on the course, bursary information can be found in your results email.

The payment deadline is Wednesday 3rd July.
How do I make my payment?
If you have been offered a place, you will have received an email with a link and instructions to make your payment.
What if I’m applying for a bursary?
If you are applying for a bursary, you do not need to make any payments right now. After submitting your application, you will hear back from us about whether you have been awarded a bursary. You will then be able to make any remaining payments if applicable.
Will I receive a receipt of my payment?
After you have paid you will receive a confirmation email.
I can’t make the payment deadline.
If you miss the payment deadline, you risk losing your place on the course. If your case is an extreme circumstance, please contact us at nytresults@nyt.org.uk.
I'm trying to make my payment but having technical issues.
If you are having technical issues while making your payment, please complete this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
