NYT Studio is a place for members only aged 16+ to flex their acting muscles and work with an NYT Associates to enhance their performers tool kit and develop their skills over 2 sessions.

September 15th and 29th: Meisner Technique: Character Exploration with James Barnes
We will take a fun approach to the tenets of Sanford Meisner's Repetition Exercise, and simple ways to utilise it for character exploration; working towards embodied 'listening' and 'presence' for the actor.
October 6th and 20th: Classical speeches and scenes with Joel MacCormack
If you've ever struggled with classical text, this workshop is for you. Using simple, playful, exercises I've picked up in rehearsal rooms, we'll explore how your unique gifts can be harnessed by classic text and take you to exciting places as an actor
10th and 24th November Audition Technique with Charles Furness We’ll explore the practical, mental, and psychological preparation that goes into giving your best audition, knowing, of course, there’s no such thing as a “perfect” one. From self‑tapes to in‑person recalls, we’ll break down sides and scripts, your view on the character, and what you can offer! Also look at how to handle the pre‑chat, and work on presenting yourself honestly and confidently in the room.
