Advanced Acting for Screen

This course takes place over 5 sessions, and is designed for those who have completed an NYT Acting for Screen course, have had training elsewhere or already have experience in the industry.
You will take an in-depth look at self-tapes, on-set tips, text analysis and working with scene partners.You'll be given the tools and confidence to trust your instincts in front of the camera and leave feeling ready to walk on any set. Be ready to make bold decisions, take risks and get the most out of every moment.
This course is led by, NYT Associate Artist, Simon Lennon, whose screen work includes BBC's Our Girl, ITV's Emmerdale and Netflix's Bridgerton. In the final session you will also have the opportunity to meet with a casting director, and get an in-depth grasp of what they're looking for in a screen actor.

Can I take part?
This course is available for anyone aged 18 - 30 whether they are active members of NYT or new to the organisation and suitable for people who have already completed an Acting for Screen Course at NYT or elsewhere.
Am I eligible for a free place?
At The National Youth Theatre we never want cost to be a barrier, that's why we offer limited free spaces on each course. For a free place, please fill out the short application form here
What should I bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a packed lunch/snack (NYT is next to many shops, cafes and a Sainsburys), water bottle, a notepad and pen
