National Youth Theatre is turning 70 - we want to hear from you
2026 marks 70 years since young voices first took to leading stages and ‘youth theatre’ was born. Hundreds of thousands of young people have taken their first creative steps on a leading stage with us since then, many of whom are now at the top of their games. From Helen Mirren’s stage debut and an early Paule Constable lighting design, to James Graham’s first paid commission and Zawe Ashton’s first screen role, there’s some very special stories to tell. And we want to hear yours!
We’re inviting you to be part of our 70th year. Whether you’re an NYT alum, an industry pro, a youth organisation, or simply passionate about supporting young creatives - we invite you to join us and our friends from across the industry to reconnect, create and build opportunities to keep our culture alive for the next 70 years.
