StoryFirst - Writer’s Call Out

The StoryFirst Submission Window has now closed and we are no longer accepting admissions

Got a story to share? National Youth Theatre Company Members can now submit your scripts for StoryFirst, part of our new writing festival this summer hosted at our award-winning Workshop Theatre.

We’re inviting NYT Company Members to submit a script to be considered for development and performance in July 2025.

Selected pieces will be supported by:

  • an experienced director from our Associate Artist team
  • NYT Production Team
  • rehearsals with acting members at National Youth Theatre
  • bursary support
  • a script-in-hand reading to a public audience at StoryFest

Submissions are open now and each member can submit one idea only.

Deadline:

Wednesday 23rd April, Midday (12pm)

What to submit:

  • Two scenes from your play (max 10 pages total, no names on pages)
  • A one-page treatment (use our template)
