With your help, 1,000 young people can take part in NYT’s life-changing work. Our activity improves wellbeing, reduces isolation & develops vital skills for life & employment. Bursaries, targeted inclusion programmes & free opportunities will tackle creative inequality so young people can thrive.
Many young people can't access creative opportunities due to rising living costs and arts cuts. Disabled and under-served youth face significant barriers, with opportunities often inaccessible and unrepresentative of today’s world. Netflix found 83% of young people felt they lacked connections to start a creative career. A youth mental health crisis owing to the pandemic and global instability persists. Our work enhances wellbeing and employability while tackling inequity in the creative sector.
By offering 1,000 young people a free or bursary supported creative opportunity, we will help them build their skills, confidence, communities and resilience. We will empower these young lives to achieve their potential. Inclusion programmes target marginalised, neurodivergent and disabled young people. NYT’s industry-led acting, backstage and leadership training provide progression routes and employment pathways, enhancing creative access and diversifying the sector.
We're grateful to the Big Give and The Reed Foundation for their support.
