Join National Youth Theatre (+13s)
Every year from January-March we run auditions and backstage interviews all over the UK to meet young talent aged 14-25 to join our company. If successful, applicants are invited to take part in a summer course. You can audition when 13 if you'll be 14 when the Junior Course starts in the summer.
After you complete your summer course, you'll become a National Youth Theatre Company Member until you turn 26.

Too young to audition? Join the National Youth Theatre every Saturday morning or afternoon and explore ensemble story telling, improvisation and music with a leading NYT director. The perfect way to start with the NYT before auditioning to join as a member at the age of 14.

Join the club! Take advantage of exclusive ticket offers, access to online advice from NYT directors and associates and quarterly NYT events and open days. Club membership is a great way to prepare and join the NYT network before auditioning to be a company member at the age of 14.
Be Part of an NYT Production – (Company Membership only, Seasonal)
Every year we produce a season of ambitious shows to platform young talent and support emerging directors and writers. Working with some of the UK’s top theatres and arts venues, our productions give young people the opportunity to learn on high-profile platforms on stage in from of an audience. Once you turn 15, you can take part in our regular masterclasses which take place around the UK during the academic holidays.
