Free for 16–25-year-olds (up to 30 if neurodivergent, D/deaf or disabled) living in or from Corby, Kettering and the wider Midlands region.
Join award-winning Director Lorna Nickson Brown and Composer Jonathan Escoto Brown for a one-day masterclass exploring how powerful stories are made. Discover how directors and composers collaborate, take part in creative activities, and develop your own ideas alongside other young creatives.
It’s free to attend and lunch will be provided!
Lunch will be provided and travel bursaries can be applied for if you cannot attend the project without one. Information in the application form.

Jonathan Escoto Brown
Lorna Nickson Brown
Jonathan Escoto Brown is a British-Filipino composer and guitarist from Birmingham whose award-nominated score for DOG RUN helped the film win the Grand Prize at the Oscar-qualifying Flickers’ Rhode Island Film Festival. He also works extensively across film, jazz, and reggae, with recent performances including the Havana International Jazz Festival.
Lorna Nickson Brown is an award-winning director and actress from Birmingham, best known for her short film DOG RUN, which won the Grand Prize at the Oscar-qualifying Flickers’ Rhode Island Film Festival and went on to screen internationally. She is currently part of the 2025 Directors UK Inspire Programme, mentored by BAFTA-winning director Saul Dibb.
