Breakout talent. Bold new stories.

StoryFest is a new writing festival from the National Youth Theatre, sponsored by STUDIOCANAL and Urban Myth Films

Returning this July, StoryFest 2025 features 10 new plays and 100+ of Britain’s best young creatives. Bold new plays from breakout voices and new plays picked from the best of National Youth Theatre’s national network of young creative talent will fill the charity’s RIBA award-winning Workshop Theatre.

Featuring a teen coming of age comic-drama on skates, a comedy about the 2025 Birmingham bin strikes and the limits to female solidarity, a commission in response to last year’s UK riots co-produced by Compass Collective, the future of storytelling with AI new technologies, and sex and privilege at Oxford.

StoryFest 2025 is sponsored by STUDIOCANAL and Urban Myth Films.

We would also like to thank Microsoft for their support of StoryFuture; our principal supporters Arts Council England as well as all of NYT's Centre Stage Supporters, Investors in Talent and Friends.

Pay What You Decide

To make StoryFest accessible, Pay What You Decide tickets are allocated for all performances.

The recommended price is £8 for performances of F*cking White Boys, The Flip Side, THUNDER THIGHS and Bin Girl, and £5 for StoryFirst performances.

A minimum price of £3 applies to help cover the cost of processing bookings and to deter no-shows, meaning other people aren’t able to access sold-out performances.

If you’re able to pay the recommended price or above for your ticket you’ll help us keep ticket prices low for future performances.

If you are unable to pay £3 for your ticket please contact our friendly box office team on boxoffice@nyt.org.uk and they will be happy to assist you.
