18-24, unemployed and interested in drama faciliation?
We’re looking to hire 30 young Inclusion Facilitators as part of our new Inclusive Practice Collective
We are currently recruiting 30 young people aged 18-24 who are interested in supporting disabled young people to learn through drama in an inclusive way to join our team as Inclusion Facilitators.
Part of National Youth Theatre’s new Inclusive Practice Collective, these six month long job placements offer young people interested in a future in the creative industries a chance to receive dedicated training in Inclusive Practice and drama facilitation from National Youth Theatre, and put their learning into practice through a four month long work placement within a non-mainstream school setting.
Our Inclusion Facilitators will facilitate regular drama activity with students with the aim of building their confidence and creativity as well as working towards a performance which will form part of a digital festival staged in 2022.
We will be working with non-mainstream schools and colleges across Greater Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, West Yorkshire and London and we’re looking for young people from these areas who are interested in developing their drama facilitation skills and supporting disabled and/or neurodiverse people to access the arts
What you'll get as part of the process...
- A paid six-month, part-time job placement with the National Youth Theatre (Paid at National minimum wage/London Living Wage)
- A comprehensive training and mentorship package working alongside National Youth Theatre staff and with our creative and cultural partners in each area.
- A four-month placement in a non-mainstream school/college to help you get practical facilitation experience and develop your skills.
- Support to access future employment opportunities and connection to local cultural organisations and networks.
