National Youth Theatre believed in who I was and who I could be. It is why I still believe in NYT and all the aspirational opportunities it brings to future generations. It is a badge of honour and one I still wear with pride today.
Daniel Craig, NYT Patron
NYT Angels are our individual supporters. They include people who were members of NYT when they were younger, the families and friends of current and former NYT members, and those who love our work and our aim to nurture the best of young British theatre talent.
We would love to welcome you as an NYT Angel. You can donate to The NYT Bursary Fund or to the development of new creative initiatives and productions.
The NYT Bursary Fund
The NYT Bursary Fund enables young people to take part in our work who otherwise may not be able to afford to. In 2015, we gave a total of £98,000 to 150 young people.
NYT’s Creative Work
We believe that the best way for young people to learn is by engaging with leading artists and industry professionals. We give great chances for them to develop their talent by creating work of a high professional standard.
"One great thing about NYT is that I always walk away knowing much more about myself and the capabilities I have. It’s an amazing experience that everyone deserves because it shapes you so much. The bursary meant I was able to afford my accommodation.
This was my biggest worry and having the bursary assured me I had a place to stay throughout the 6 weeks of the project. I would definitely recommend NYT as the community spirit is just so joyful and being a part of that community is so satisfying. It’s very hard to find that and when you do, you will never forget it."
