Accessibility, Fees & Funding:

We are looking for a company who represent the diversity of Britain’s Youth. We celebrate individuals and do not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, sexuality or disability.
We strongly believe in offering equal opportunities and pride ourselves on accessibility. Bursaries are available on request following the release of auditions/interview results. Bursaries are in place help cover the cost of an audition, course fees and/or accommodation to those most in need.

The NYT Bursary Fund is high in demand so we ask you only to apply for a bursary if you are experiencing financial hardship. They are means tested and will be offered to part cover transport, course fees or accommodation costs should you be successful in gaining a place. Once you have received an offer of a place you can apply for a bursary to cover costs by emailing info@nyt.org.uk with the subject Bursary Application.

As a UK based Arts Charity the most popular way to raise funds to contribute towards your fees is to fundraise. Every year young people across the UK fundraise the full amount of their audition and course fees in order to take part. If you would like a fundraising guide to offer inspiration and help fundraise download it here.

What if I wasn’t successful this time?

This has been our most competitive year for applicants ever, if we weren't able to offer you a place this year, it doesn't mean that you don't have a lot of potential. Many members audition three or four times before gaining a place.

The good news is there’s still lots to get involved with at the NYT including six-day Masterclasses & Club Membership. A great way to find out more about the work that we do is to come and see a show and take part in a Q&A or workshops. Find out more

If I get offered a place this summer, can I defer to next year’s course?

Due to the very limited number of places we can offer each year, we are unable to defer any places.
