1pm – 5pm Sunday 21 January
National Youth Theatre Rehearsal Rooms
443 - 445 Holloway Road
In response to recent industry-wide action to tackle unacceptable behaviour relating to abuses of power in the theatre industry and beyond, on Sunday 21 January we will be holding a Town Hall Meeting for National Youth Theatre members at our Holloway Road rehearsal rooms.
The aim of the day will be to come up with a code of conduct that is specific to the National Youth Theatre’s work with young people, which we also hope, will be a useful resource for other youth theatres. The event will be led by our Associate Director Anna Niland and attended by our CEO and Artistic Director Paul Roseby and lead safeguarding trustee Dr Simon Stockill.
As with all NYT activity, the event will be run according to our robust safeguarding policy, which can be found on our website here, and any disclosures will be responded to in line with our policy.
Any National Youth Theatre Company Member can attend the event, which is free to attend. If you are planning to attend we’d appreciate you signing up to one of the below workshops in advance as there will be limited places. Alongside the below workshops they’ll be other spaces within the building offering creative opportunities to reflect on the current climate and carry on the conversation. There will also be opportunities to talk to NYT staff and safeguarding specialists separately.
Sign up to one of the workshops using the below links.
