New project for the New Year!
Following from the success of last years Research and Development project, in January 2018 NYT will be doing another Research and Development directed by Rikki Beadle Blair with a cast of around 30. The details are as follows:
Love’s epic legacy of LGBT diversity.
As long as we have been human we have been diverse. This project is an exploration of LGBT identities throughout recorded history, excavating and examining the clues and characters that still live and breathe within the legacies of drama, music and literature and art particularly in the gender-subversive work of William Shakespeare.
We are looking for actors of all genders and sexual orientations, everyone is welcome to apply for this project, especially those from a diverse background. However, we do request that you are comfortable with discussing and exploring this subject matter.
Dates: Saturday 20th January – Sunday 29th January
Location: The Loft Space behind 443-445 Holloway Road, London, N7 6LW
To apply: If you are available for all the dates please send no more than 100 words to firstname.lastname@example.org explaining why you are interested in this topic. Please also attach a recent headshot.
You are welcome to use bullet points and to write in your own voice. It does not need to sound like a formal application if you do not want it to.
If you prefer to submit this in an alternative format, such as a 1 minute video or podcast or another interesting format you’d prefer to use, you are welcome to do so.
