Applications are now open for the Bryan Forbes Assistant Director Bursary.
The purpose of this Bursary opportunity is to learn the skills of a Director through practical experience and learning. The Assistant Director will support the work of The NYT REP Company. In order to do this they are expected to attend all relevant meetings and to assist on several productions over the course of the 8 month period. The Assistant Director will also train alongside the actors in the REP Company developing knowledge and understanding of the performer.
Title of role: The Bryan Forbes NYT REP Assistant Director
Hours: The 2017 NYT REP Company is due to run from end of April - December 2017. This is not an employment contract. The length of the role is 8 months full time, including evenings and weekends when appropriate and as required.
Remuneration: The successful applicant with receive a £10,000 bursary to support their training and development

Our NYT Auditions roadshow is well underway, having kicked off last weekend. We are visiting 25 cities across the UK to find epic young talent for our 2017 Membership intake.

ShortFLIX is LIVE! Do you have a brilliant idea for a short film? Would you like training, mentorship, funding and a professional crew to help you make it? How about seeing it broadcast on national TV?
SHORTFLIX is for aspiring filmmakers aged 18-25 who are not in full-time education, employment or training, and have an idea for a short film that tells their own story, or that of their community, heritage, identity or area.
Casting Audition and Recall Update
Good luck to all NYT Members who have attended a Casting Audition so far this year! Please keep the below dates free in case you are invited to a recall audition.
The deadline for casting results is 31st May, so please be patient. Everyone will hear either way whether they have been cast or not.
REP second round recalls will take place 10:00 – 18:00 in London on the following dates, so please keep them free:
REP 3rd round recalls will take place:
10:00 – 17:00 6th March at Ambassadors theatre.
*As there is only one third round date, if you would like to be considered for the REP please try to make yourself available in case you are recalled to audition.
REP final round will be taking place as follows:
14:00 – 22:00 on 23rd March – Holloway Road
10:00 – 18:00 on 24th March – Holloway Road
*Please keep yourself as available as possible apply here.
You will be allocated an audition date and time. Recalls for season shows will commence from w/c 27th March and will finish by 31st May.

We’re currently on the lookout for a Personal Assistant to the CEO/Artistic Director! (£18,000)
The post holder will primarily support the CEO/Artistic Director but will also be required to support
the team at every level of the organisation. The post holder must also be prepared to undertake
general administrative tasks as part of a varied role in a creative environment.
The main purpose of the post is to assist the CEO/Artistic Director including administrative
duties and diary planning.
