2017 Auditions have begun! #StartYourStory

Our NYT Auditions roadshow is well underway, having kicked off over the weekend. We are visiting 25 cities across the UK to find epic young talent for our 2017 Membership intake.

Can’t wait to meet all of you across the UK! If you haven’t booked your audition yet, do something amazing this year and #StartYourStory. Audition for the National Youth Theatre in 2017.

ShortFLIX

ShortFLIX is LIVE! Do you have a brilliant idea for a short film? Would you like training, mentorship, funding and a professional crew to help you make it? How about seeing it broadcast on national TV?

SHORTFLIX is for aspiring filmmakers aged 18-25 who are not in full-time education, employment or training, and have an idea for a short film that tells their own story, or that of their community, heritage, identity or area.

Casting Audition and Recall Update

Casting Auditions for NYT Members are in full swing and we’ve already been blown away by the talent amongst our Membership. Good luck to everyone auditioning for NYT REP and Productions this year.

The deadline for casting results is 31st May, so please be patient. Everyone will hear either way whether they have been cast or not. 

REP RECALL DATES

REP second round recalls will take place 10:00 – 18:00 in London on the following dates, so please keep them free:
18th Feb
19th Feb
20th Feb
21st Feb
23rd Feb
24th Feb

REP 3rd round recalls will take place 10:00 – 17:00 6th March at Ambassadors theatre. As there is only one third round date, if you would like to be considered for the REP please try to make yourself available in case you are recalled to audition.

You will be allocated an audition date and time.

We cannot always accommodate requests to change audition dates so we ask that keep yourself as available as possible over the above dates.


February Fling

Come and join us at our February Fling in Glasgow, for fun, food and fizz in aid of the National Youth Theatre.

We will be holding an event for Members, Alumni and supporters of the NYT – we’d love you to join us! Tickets are £20/£15 for students to be paid on the door. Reserve yours here. Your ticket includes a full buffet, 2 drinks tokens, entertainment and a donation to the National Youth Theatre.

Max’s Bar and Grill, Queen Street. Thursday 2nd February 2017. Doors from 7pm.  

All funds raised will go directly to helping us create life changing opportunities for young people from all backgrounds across the UK. Our NYT February Fling is for old friends and new, all in aid of a fantastic cause with special guest performances from NYT members and alumni.


Pancake Party

Pancake Season is upon us. Flippin' marvellous.

We're calling all NYT Members to join our #NYTFLIP challenge, and throw a Pancake Party to help us raise much needed funds for the National Youth Theatre. More info here!

Where Across the UK and beyond!

Invite a few friends over, get them to donate a couple of quid each to NYT and then get creative with your fillings, flips and party planning! We are asking members to raise a minimum of £10 to participate in NYT’s Pancake Party.

We’re Hiring – Job Opportunity

We’re currently on the lookout for a Personal Assistant to the CEO/Artistic Director! (£18,000)

The post holder will primarily support the CEO/Artistic Director but will also be required to support
the team at every level of the organisation. The post holder must also be prepared to undertake
general administrative tasks as part of a varied role in a creative environment.

The main purpose of the post is to assist the CEO/Artistic Director including administrative
duties and diary planning.
